Photo's from Anna K, Locals Zeedijk.
Thanks for the pictures.
The weather is improving, the virus has struck again!! Not only with the Local windsurfers but also Photographers. Anna K send us some action pictures of Jacob and....?
Please keep on sending your images and we will try to post them as good as possible.
Luckely this was not the highlight of today. It is the most spectacular pic. that Viv made of me today.

Yesterday evening, no sense to go to the gym. tried the SUP instead. Quit impressed about the ease of this board. very stable because of its width but still short enough to fit into my small garden shed. Will try some small waves soon, looking forward to that. Will be lots of swimming I guess.
Looking forward to that!!
Lets see if I can get any Localsa interested in SUP.

Almost all locals at the homespot this evening. Finally some Westerly wind blowing.

Last two weeks we had some excellent weather in the Netherlands, sun, wind nice temperature. With this kind of weather you definitely don't need to be anyware else. Only Perhaps if you are looking for big surf.
Certainly the conditions pulled alot of watersports lunatics to the water and for sure Brouwersdam is favourite for a lot of them. I carefully tested the shoulder and it seemed fine. although some stiveness at the end of the day occured. We just need to wait and see how this develops.
Tuesday we had the oppurtunity to do some training on the Beneteau 35 of one of my friends for the tuesday evening races in May starting next week. No pictures unfortunately. I will try to make some later.
Anyway, finally we had some pictures of the Locals again.

That feld nice again after almost 2 years!!

Stefan dug up his F2 Axxis and had some fune with it again.

Jacob, practising his lay-down gybes with plenty of wind for his Naish boxer 5.8.

Happy to reach the shore again after some swimming and water starting attemps. I really need some big sails for that stuff.
Nice facial expression!!!

So, having the opportunity to stay over in Sydney one of the weekends in Jan, I made some pics of what is
going on there. And honestly speaking; I love the place!! Sydney harbour full with yachts sailing regattas
on the Saturday and the 18ft and 12ft skiffs blasting away on Sunday. Just Nice!
Manley Beach difficult surfing conditions that day but..... Good to see these guys having fun in the waves. Below
a small selection of my best shots. Hope you like them.

The 12 ft skiff Garde blasting through the water in Sydney Harbour.

This crew setting in the gybe, pretty spectacular!
The A-cat class is getting more popular by the minute at an international level. For
sure the decision of the America's Cup Race Management to compete the 34th AC in multi hulls has
something to do with it. Top AC sailors are moving towards A-cats to even get more
experience particular in multi hull sailing. And there is another good reason.......A-cats
are techncial to sail and good fun. The newer generation boats are also getting more
physical to sail, you can clearly see that in below photo series of Chris Field during the
Open Dutch 2010. This is definitely something that is more appealing to watch and
will attract also youth. And therefor will have positive impact on growth of the A-cat fleets.
Well done A-cat class!!! I hope to see many of them in front of my camera.

THE OKTOBER BOKAAL STARTED OFF SPECTACULAR WITH PLENTY OF WIND
AND SUN. KLICK ON THE LINK BELOW FOR THE BEST PIC'S OF THE DAY.

Localsailor Jacob just put his starting number in his sail and is getting ready for the season.
Good luck this season.
What about that longsleeve? Looks good Jacob!!
The Local Dijksurfers are this week having fun in Leucate. Hope we get some content from them. Have fun guys next year we will join you and have some beers there to!!!
This guy invented his own land surfer and was trying it out again, last time the fork of his front wheel broke at 35 km/h and he had now re-enforced it. His goal was to make a land / ice surf board with similar behavior as a normal windsurf board. (or as close as possible to it). Canting the board and making the curve, etc.
So, I decided to have a look at Oudorp Beach next to the lighthouse. This spot seems to be more and more crowded now the Slufter beach seems to have limited due to works on the Maasvlakte 2.
The best action I shot below:
